Partner Terms & Conditions

Welcome to SelfDriveBLR. These Partner Terms & Conditions (“Partner Terms”) govern the relationship between SelfDriveBLR (“SelfDriveBLR,” “Platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and vehicle owners (“Partner,” “you,” or “your”) who list their vehicles on the SelfDriveBLR platform.

By registering as a Partner and listing your vehicle(s) on our platform, you agree to be bound by these Partner Terms. Please read them carefully before completing your registration.

If you do not agree with any part of these Partner Terms, you must not register as a Partner or list any vehicle on the SelfDriveBLR platform.

• “Platform” — The SelfDriveBLR website, mobile application, and associated technology services.
• “Partner” — The vehicle owner who lists their vehicle on the Platform.
• “Customer” — The individual who books a vehicle through the Platform.
• “Booking Period” — The duration from vehicle handover to return as recorded in the Platform.
• “Listing” — The vehicle advertisement displayed on the Platform.
• “Revenue Share” — The percentage of booking revenue retained by SelfDriveBLR as platform fees.
• “Force Majeure” — Events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, government actions, and public health emergencies.

SelfDriveBLR operates solely as a technology platform facilitating vehicle rentals between independent vehicle owners and renters. SelfDriveBLR does not own, lease, operate, or control any vehicles listed on the Platform.

SelfDriveBLR provides a digital platform that facilitates communication, booking coordination, and payment collection between Partners and Customers. SelfDriveBLR is not a rental company and does not provide rental services directly.

All rental agreements are directly between the Partner and the Customer. SelfDriveBLR does not transfer ownership or control of any vehicle and is not a party to the rental transaction.

SelfDriveBLR acts only as an intermediary technology platform and does not independently verify the legal suitability of every transaction, vehicle, or participant.

SelfDriveBLR does not guarantee booking volume, earnings, customer behavior, uninterrupted platform availability, or insurance claim approval.

Use of the Platform and participation in vehicle rentals is undertaken voluntarily and at the sole risk of the Partner and Customer.

Vehicle ownership at all times remains with the Partner. Listing a vehicle on the SelfDriveBLR Platform does not transfer any ownership rights to SelfDriveBLR or any Customer.

Partners must have clear and undisputed legal title to all vehicles listed. Vehicles under finance or loan may be listed only with prior written consent from the financing institution. SelfDriveBLR reserves the right to request proof of ownership and financing clearance at any time.

To register as a Partner, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Hold a valid Indian driver's license
• Provide valid government-issued identification (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.)
• Provide proof of vehicle ownership (RC book in your name)
• Have a registered Indian bank account for payouts
• Not have any criminal record involving vehicle-related offenses
• Complete the KYC verification process on the Platform

All vehicles listed on the Platform must meet the following requirements:

• Be in good mechanical and cosmetic condition
• Have a valid Registration Certificate (RC) in the Partner's name
• Have a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
• Have insurance valid for the entire listing period
• Be no older than 10 years from the date of manufacture
• Pass the Platform's vehicle inspection checklist

The Partner is fully responsible for maintaining all vehicle documents and ensuring they remain valid and up to date throughout the listing period. Partners are solely responsible for ensuring that their listed vehicles comply with all applicable registration, permit, taxation, insurance, and legal requirements. Failure to maintain valid documents may result in suspension of listings.

The Partner is solely responsible for maintaining valid insurance coverage for each listed vehicle throughout the duration of its listing on the Platform.

Partners must:

• Maintain insurance coverage at all times
• Provide proof of valid insurance upon request
• Immediately inform SelfDriveBLR of any change in insurance status
• Renew insurance policies before expiry without gaps in coverage

Partners are solely responsible for understanding the terms, limitations, and applicability of their vehicle insurance policies, including restrictions related to commercial or peer-to-peer vehicle usage. Insurance claim approval remains subject to insurer policies, applicable laws, and claim investigation outcomes. SelfDriveBLR may offer opt-in top-up insurance products, but the primary insurance obligation remains with the Partner. SelfDriveBLR is not liable for any claims arising from lapsed or inadequate insurance coverage.

During the Booking Period, the Customer is fully liable for the vehicle, including any accidents, damages, or traffic violations.

Partners and Customers agree to:

• Report any accidents, damages, theft, seizure, or law enforcement involvement to SelfDriveBLR as soon as reasonably possible
• File a police FIR for accidents involving third-party injury or significant property damage
• Cooperate with the insurance claim process
• Document vehicle condition through before-and-after photos

SelfDriveBLR may assist in communication and coordination following accidents or disputes but shall not be responsible for repair costs, insurance settlement outcomes, third-party claims, or legal liabilities arising from vehicle usage. Insurance deductibles and non-covered damages shall be borne by the liable party as determined per the rental agreement.

While SelfDriveBLR performs identity verification and driving license validation on all Customers, we cannot guarantee customer behavior during the Booking Period.

SelfDriveBLR is not liable for:

• Customer driving behavior, negligence, or recklessness
• Violation of traffic rules or applicable laws by the Customer
• Unauthorized use of the vehicle, including sub-letting or commercial usage
• Damage caused by Customer intoxication or illegal activities
• Loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle by Customers

While SelfDriveBLR performs customer verification procedures, no verification process can eliminate all risks associated with vehicle rentals, misuse, negligence, or unlawful conduct. SelfDriveBLR will reasonably assist in dispute resolution but bears no financial or legal responsibility for Customer misuse.

SelfDriveBLR charges a platform fee / revenue share on each completed booking. The specific revenue split will be communicated at the time of registration and may vary based on the service level opted by the Partner.

• Payouts are processed within 5-7 business days after booking completion
• All payouts are made via NEFT/RTGS to the Partner's registered bank account
• Taxes (TDS, GST, etc.) will be deducted as per applicable laws
• SelfDriveBLR will provide a monthly payout statement with booking details
• Discrepancies must be reported within 15 days of payout

SelfDriveBLR reserves the right to adjust the revenue share model with 30 days' written notice. SelfDriveBLR reserves the right to temporarily withhold payouts in cases involving fraud investigation, payment disputes, chargebacks, policy violations, accidents, or unresolved claims.

By listing your vehicle on the SelfDriveBLR Platform, you consent to the installation and operation of GPS tracking devices in your vehicle for the duration of each Booking Period.

GPS tracking is used for:

• Vehicle security and theft prevention
• Real-time location monitoring for safety purposes
• Speed monitoring and geofence compliance
• Recovery assistance in case of unauthorized use

SelfDriveBLR will ensure Customer disclosure of GPS tracking. Tracking data is used solely for security and operational purposes and is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Partners consent to the collection and storage of booking-related evidence including photographs, timestamps, GPS logs, uploaded documents, and communication records for operational, legal, and dispute resolution purposes.

Partners must not engage in any of the following activities:

• Listing vehicles that do not meet Platform quality or documentation standards
• Contacting Customers directly to arrange bookings outside the Platform
• Charging Customers additional fees not authorized by the Platform
• Misrepresenting vehicle condition, model, year, or features in listings
• Creating fake bookings or engaging in any fraudulent activity
• Sharing Customer personal information with third parties
• Using the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Manipulating pricing, availability, or ratings through artificial means

SelfDriveBLR reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Partner account or listing at its sole discretion, without prior notice, in the following circumstances:

• Violation of any provision of these Partner Terms
• Fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or identity theft
• Providing false or misleading vehicle information
• Repeated customer complaints affecting Platform reputation
• Failure to maintain valid vehicle documents or insurance
• Engaging in any activity that brings SelfDriveBLR into disrepute
• Non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations

SelfDriveBLR reserves the right to reject, suspend, remove, or restrict any listing, vehicle, or Partner account at its sole discretion for operational, legal, safety, or reputational reasons.

SelfDriveBLR reserves the right to edit, modify, optimize, or remove listings, descriptions, images, and pricing displays for operational or platform-quality purposes.

SelfDriveBLR may introduce operational rules, onboarding requirements, verification procedures, booking limits, or safety measures from time to time for platform management and risk control purposes.

In case of suspension or termination, pending payouts for completed bookings will be processed subject to verification. SelfDriveBLR may withhold payouts if investigations are pending regarding fraud or policy violations.

SelfDriveBLR may share booking records, customer details, vehicle information, GPS records, and related data with law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required for safety, legal compliance, or investigation purposes.

In cases involving suspected theft, vehicle non-return, fraud, or unauthorized usage, SelfDriveBLR may cooperate with vehicle recovery efforts and law enforcement authorities.

Partners must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and governmental requirements, including but not limited to:

• Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and subsequent amendments
• Income Tax Act, 1961 (including TDS compliance on earnings)
• Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations
• Information Technology Act, 2000 (for digital platform usage)
• Local state and municipal transport regulations in Karnataka

Partners are responsible for understanding and fulfilling their tax obligations arising from earnings through the Platform. SelfDriveBLR will issue applicable tax certificates (TDS certificates, GST invoices) as required by law.

SelfDriveBLR does not provide legal, insurance, financial, or tax advice. Partners are encouraged to seek independent professional guidance where required.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SelfDriveBLR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

• Use of or inability to use the Platform
• Any transaction between Partner and Customer
• Damage, loss, or theft of the listed vehicle during the Booking Period
• Loss of revenue, business, or anticipated profits
• Customer behavior, negligence, or breach of rental agreement
• Third-party claims arising from vehicle usage

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

SelfDriveBLR shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, internet outages, government actions, strikes, or public emergencies.

SelfDriveBLR's total liability in connection with these Partner Terms shall not exceed the total platform fees earned from the specific booking giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.

The Partner agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SelfDriveBLR, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Breach of these Partner Terms by the Partner
• Any misrepresentation or false information provided by the Partner
• Vehicle-related incidents during the Booking Period
• Non-compliance with applicable laws by the Partner
• Claims by third parties related to the Partner's vehicle
• Infringement of any intellectual property or other rights

SelfDriveBLR collects, processes, and stores Partner personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By registering as a Partner, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for the following purposes:

• Identity verification and KYC compliance
• Payment processing and payout management
• Communication regarding bookings, platform updates, and support
• Legal and regulatory compliance
• Platform improvement and analytics

Partners agree to handle customer information responsibly and not store, misuse, distribute, or disclose customer documents or personal data outside the Platform.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Partner Terms or the Partner's use of the Platform shall be resolved through the following mechanism:

• Negotiation: Parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes through informal negotiation within 15 days
• Mediation: If negotiation fails, disputes shall be referred to a mutually agreed mediator in Bengaluru
• Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996

The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed and the venue of arbitration shall be Bengaluru. The language of arbitration shall be English.

Nothing in these Terms creates any employment, agency, franchise, joint venture, or partnership relationship between SelfDriveBLR and any Partner. Partners are independent contractors responsible for their own business decisions, tax obligations, and legal compliance.

Partners have no authority to bind SelfDriveBLR to any obligation, make representations on behalf of SelfDriveBLR, or act as an agent of SelfDriveBLR in any capacity.

These Partner Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

All disputes arising under these Partner Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Partners hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Electronic acceptance of these Terms through the Platform — including clicking "I Agree," checking an acceptance box, or continuing to use the Platform after notification of changes — shall constitute a legally binding agreement between the Partner and SelfDriveBLR.

Partners acknowledge that their electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

SelfDriveBLR reserves the right to update or modify these Partner Terms at any time without prior individual notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated terms on the Platform.

Partners are encouraged to review these terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised.

Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If a Partner does not agree with the changes, they must cease using the Platform and remove their listings.
